Does Astute Beta Need an OBB File?
Does the build need an OBB file? The answer, why players ask, and what first-run resources really are.
The short answer
No. The current build from the APK download page works with the APK alone. No separate OBB file is listed as required for this release, and our install tests confirmed it.
Why players ask
Many large game builds split data into an OBB file, so beta testers expect one. Some releases in the wild do ask for extra data. This one does not, which is why the Astute Beta technical dossier lists OBB as not required.
First-run resources are not OBB
After install, the game downloads first-run resources on Wi-Fi. That is normal in-app data, not a separate OBB you must hunt down. Let it finish before judging the build.
If a build asks for OBB
Then it is a different release from the one this site verified. Any OBB must match the exact APK version it belongs to. The install troubleshooting guide covers what to do when files do not line up.
